Update from Dori the Cat

We have received an update from Dori the 3 legged cat who is now in foster care in Kuwait until her Pet Passport comes through.  here is what she has to say

”As you know I made it safely into Kuwait about a week ago. I am being looked well after by Steph in her huge house. I have got my own bed room and bath room, not too bad conditions for a 3-legged cat like me eh? Karen took me to the vet Wednesday and I got the needed shots and micro chip. The vet said that I am too chubby so I am off the pill now and I get less food… I think they are right, I could loose a little bit here and there! In 3 weeks time I will go and see the vet again and get the blood test done that shows that I don’t have rabies. I also need to get this annoying stump chopped off so I will go though the very last leg operation in Kuwait and at the same time they will spay me, which is ok, the pills only makes me fatter… Hopefully I am all fit to travel with my mum to Denmark in May. I can’t wait to feel the grass under my 3 paws and I am finally going to meet my “sister” from Angola.

As well as Dori’s update we have also had an update of Lolly this week.  She is still being fostered by Karen in Kuwait and this week she made a trip to the vets to be speyed and get her back dew claws removed.  Lolly is still on track to leave Kuwait in March where she will go to a new forever home in Canada.  Here is a picture of Lolly feeling very sorry for herself!

I need sympathy

I am still looking after Oso here in Afghanistan and she should be starting her journey to the States soon.  Here is some video of her playing, albeit not very well!!!  Oso has almost doubled in size since she arrived here and she is certainly a handful and shows some seriously cheeky attitude!

We are also working alongside Nowzad Dogs to get Sal (short for Salvation) the puppy to safety.  More detail to follow on Sal, but in the meantime please check out Nowzad Dogs and support us in our quest to save these dogs.

Sal

Nowzad is also on so please follow them here Nowzad Twitter

BAR is also in the process of setting up Twitter so please check back for more details on that.

We are still looking for prizes for various Raffles we will have happening throughout the year, so if you have an item you would like to donate please contact me for details of where to send it.

More updates to follow so watch this space!
