Welcome to the Baghdad Cat Rescue home page. This page has been created to try and raise the funds to send back 4 beautiful cats back to the UK and give them a chance of a comfortable life with a loving family.

Baghdad has an abundance of stray cats and dogs and although I cannot help them all I can help these 4. Sadly the cost involved in bringing these cats back to the UK is quite substantial so for this reason I would ask you all to dig deep into your pockets and make a donation to this worthy cause. The approximate cost for each cat will be $3500 and I cannot afford this alone. I do not expect to meet the full cost of this venture through donations, however, the donations will go a long way toward the cost. If this site is a success and I raise more than is required then any remaining money will be donated to an animal charity to assist other animals in war torn environments.

I do not expect anyone to make a huge donation, even the smallest donation will go a long way to saving these 4 cats. For this reason I will not specify an amount, I will leave that to you as individuals to decide.

I plan to send these cats back to the UK in November 2007 but the site will remain open for the duration of the Quarantine period which is 6 months so we will be accepting donations for some months to come.
